E-Tech, Inc.
Profile and History

Company Introduction and Qualifications

E-Tech opened its doors for business in 1976, with its primary product being boiler economizers. Through the years, our knowledge and experience in many other processes has allowed us to develop other waste heat recovery products. Today E-Tech is known as an energy innovator offering engineering and equipment to companies across the United States and abroad.

E-Tech is involved in the design and manufacture of many types of waste heat recovery equipment. Our expertise lies in gas-to-liquid heat exchangers, which absorb heat from the exhaust of engines, gas turbines, furnaces, incinerators, boilers, and other equipment and transfer the energy to process fluids such as water, steam, oil or air. Our equipment is built to ASME standards for fired and non-fired vessels.

E-Tech is a close held corporation consisting of an engineering staff, sales department, drafting department, purchasing department and accounting department. The manufacturing is sub-contracted to local vendors, who work exclusively for E-Tech. This arrangement allows us to offer the best prices and greatest flexibility in engineering and fabricating our products.

Manufacturing Resources

Because E-Tech contracts work to exclusive local sub-contractors, we can offer tremendous flexibility and assure the highest possible quality. Our sub-contractor list contains many structural steel and piping fabricators, which fabricate to ASTM and ASME standards and are subject to E-Tech's own quality assurance program. We are able to match the size of the job to the appropriately staffed and equipped vendor.

Description of Vendor Resources

E-Tech utilizes several vendors to fabricate its equipment. Each vendor has its own area of expertise and specialty. Listed below is a description of resources:

Finning: Finning is carbon steel or stainless steel helically wrapped and continuously welded. Finning may be solid or serrated.
Machining: Special cutting of parts may be accomplished by laser burning, computer controlled punching or conventional machine practices.
Forming: Parts may be formed using plat rolls and breaks which are either mechanically or hydraulically operated. All parts are sheared rather than burned to size, whenever possible.
Structural
Fabrication:
Casings, ductwork, and structures are assembled using a MIG welding process.
Piping: Most pipe welding is done using a TIG process. Our vendors hold "S", "U", and "R" stamps as described by the ASME code, Section I and Section VIII.
Quality Assurance

To ensure the highest possible quality, we utilize several different sources. E-Tech maintains it's own in-house quality assurance staff. In addition, we use Ultrasound and Radiographic examinations to prove the product. Inspections are performed in accordance with the ASME code and our own quality assurance program.
