Feedwater Preheat Skids

Preheater.jpg (27394 bytes)The feedwater preheat unit is designed to preheat boiler feedwater to protect economizer and downstream components from corrosive products of combustion.  The skid will heat entering feedwater using steam as the heating medium. 

The feedwater preheater usually  contains the following items:

  • Steam Strainer

  • Steam Regulating Valve with Pilot

  • Shell and Tube Heat Exchanger

  • Steam Trap

  • Interconnecting Piping

The components of the preheat skid will be pre-piped, factory assembled and mounted on a steel frame.  The skid and components are to be painted with high temperature black paint.
