E-Tech economizers are designed to recover boiler waste heat in a manner that dramatically cuts fuel costs and improves boiler efficiency. The rate of return on investment for E-Tech economizers often exceed 100% per year based on installed costs. The E-Tech economizer is essentially a fintube heat exchanger that is installed in the boiler flue gas exhaust stack. Hot flue gases pass over the outside of the fintubes while the boiler feedwater is circulated inside the tubes between the pump and boiler. The feedwater is thereby pre-heated as it recovers the would-be waste heat from the flue gas. As a result, the higher temperature of incoming feedwater entering the boiler contributes to a smoother boiler operation and provides quicker response to steam demands. E-Tech economizers are designed and fabricated to operate longer and consequently to realize substantially higher fuel cost savings over the lifetime of the equipment. Longer life results from our economizers because E-Tech offers heavy wall tubes (0.120 MW), 10% radiography of all pressure welds, continuously-welded steel fins and the use of two pass TIG welding throughout the coil assembly as standard. E-Tech also offers hot forged return bends, heavy inner casing (1/4") and ferruled tube sheets for even heavier construction. |
