Air Heater

Airheater.jpg (37758 bytes)E-Tech tubular air heaters consist of tubes that are welded or rolled into tubesheets and enclosed in a reinforced steel casing.  The materials may be carbon steel or alloy as dictated by your specific need.  An integral expansion joint between the tube sheet and casing allows for differential growth between the tubes and shell.  The expansion joint between the floating tube sheet and the casing provides an air/gas seal.   Intermediate baffle plates parallel to the tube sheets are used to separate the flow paths and prevent tube damaging flow induced vibration.  E-Tech's most common flow arrangement is counter current, with gas passing vertically through the tubes and air passing horizontally in one or more passes outside the tubes.  Designs provide for cold air bypass or hot air recirculation to control cold end corrosion and ash fouling.   Air and gas inlets and outlets are flanged for attachment to duct work.

E-Tech tubular air heaters utilize the heat from the products of combustion from boilers, incinerators and other types of fired heaters to preheat combustion air.  The result is improved efficiency (about 2 1/2% for every 100°F increase n air temperature) and reduced fuel consumption.   The use of preheated air greatly improves combustion and efficiency at all loads.

Each E-Tech air heater is designed to fit individual specific requirements using a time tested and proven computer aided design program.   Economic factors to minimize capital cost such as fan horsepower, space restrictions, serviceability and efficiency are considered in every design.
